VQ Awards
VQ Day Award Winners
Thanks to all of those who nominated
individuals for the 2010 Learner of the Year awards. We had an
amazing selection of nominees this year, demonstrating the
outstanding skill, achievement and commitment of vocational
learners in all disciplines. The standard of the nominees being
sent through seems to improve every year - we would like to thank
everyone who took the time to complete a nomination form and wish
all nominees the best of luck in their studies.
The standard of entrees this year was extremely high, with
the judges selecting two winners from each English region
(24-and-under and 25-and-over). See the carousel below for details
of the winners and their vocational careers.
INDUSTRY INSIDER AWARD
This year we have also launched a brand new initiative
called the Industry Insider Prize which focuses on a different
vocational industry each year and has been developed to offer
students a once in a lifetime, 'hands on' experience with leaders
in the chosen field. This year's prize was judged
by entertainment icon Arlene Phillips OBE. See below for
details of the winner, Delroy Ogiste.
